AM Ford Supporting Ford Building Together Global Food Drive!
At AM Ford, what started as a friendly competition between the Sales and Service teams turned into something much more meaningful. The challenge was simple: see which department could collect the most food for local families.
By the end, there wasn’t just one full trunk.
There were two.
Together, the AM Ford team, customers, friends, and members of the community collected more than 1,000 pounds of food!
The donations will be divided among Feed Our Vets, Manna Food Pantry, and United Way, allowing the food collected at AM Ford to reach different people and families throughout the community.
And with the holidays approaching, the timing makes this accomplishment especially meaningful.
Knowing that something as simple as a dealership food drive could make that question a little easier for dozens of local families, veterans, parents and children is what made this effort so special.
AM Ford is a two-year-old, family-owned and minority-owned Ford dealership in the small town of Jefferson, Ohio. For Akshay Mahajan, Miss Red, and the AM Ford team, being part of the community has been an important part of the dealership’s identity from the beginning.
“When we started this, we wanted it to be fun and get our team involved. But when you stand there and see more than 1,000 pounds of food, you realize what it really means. With the holidays coming, this food could help put meals on the tables of families right here in our community. That’s something much bigger than a competition.”
The Sales and Service teams may have spent the food drive trying to outdo each other, but when the two trunks were opened side by side and both were filled with donations, nobody was worried about who won anymore.
The answer was pretty obvious.
Our community did.
For Akshay Mahajan and Miss Red, that’s also a reminder of the kind of dealership they want AM Ford to become.
Being a smaller dealership in a small town doesn’t mean you have to think small. You don’t need hundreds of employees or a huge market to make a difference. Sometimes you just need people who care enough to participate.
At only two years old, AM Ford is still building its story in Jefferson. As a family-owned and minority-owned dealership, the goal isn’t simply to grow the business. It’s to build something that employees are proud to be part of and that the community knows it can count on.
This holiday season, more than 1,000 pounds of food will leave AM Ford and find its way onto tables throughout the community.
You are part of our community, and our community takes care of each other.
Small dealership. Small town. Big heart.
